The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is seeking comments about a transfer and recycling station that is seeking to have its solid waste transfer station permit renewed for 10 years.
Waste Connections of Oregon’s is looking to continue operations at its Sweet Home Sanitation Service, Inc., facility in Sweet Home, Ore. The company’s current permit expired Dec. 31, 2003.
The facility takes in solid waste from waste haulers in the area. The material is then transloaded and shipped to a permitted disposal facility. The facility also takes in source separated recyclables for recovery and recycling purposes.
