Onyx Inks Deal with Heil

Onyx Waste Services awarded a three-year equipment contract to Heil Environmental Industries. The contract will make Heil the exclusive supplier to Onyx of rear loader, front loader and recycler refuse collection bodies. The contract was signed upon the expiration of a previous 18-month contract.

Under the company’s previous contract Onyx purchased about 150 refuse collection bodies. Additionally, the company expects to purchase an average of 140 bodies a year over the three-year contract.

Onyx operates a fleet of about 1,800 refuse collection vehicles, including 700 rear loaders, 400 roll-off trucks, 350 front loaders, and 350 recyclers/side loaders/automated collection vehicles.
