Onyx Environmental Services has completed the acquisition of Shoreland Metals, Valparaiso, Ind. The Shoreland Metals business will be renamed Onyx Environmental Services, Metals Recycling Group.
“Onyx is expanding its service offering in this critical area of recycling based on increasing customer demand. Our customers continually remind us that their preferred waste management methods are re-use, reclaim, recycling and alternative technologies as opposed to classic treatment and disposal,” said Onyx president Tom Bramlette. He added, “Onyx is the largest provider of recycling services for mercury-containing bulbs in the United States. We also recycle PCB electrical equipment, mercury apparatus, batteries of all types, computer and peripheral equipment, and various organic solvents and chemicals”.
Onyx Environmental Services has a network of more than 60 service centers, treatment, recovery and disposal facilities and transportation locations that provide solutions to hazardous waste related needs.Latest from Recycling Today
