OmniSource Corp., Fort Wayne, Ind., has announced that Joe Mazeika has joined the company as a marketing representative for its Nonferrous Group.
According to the company, Mazeika has an extensive background in both purchasing and sales, having previously served as a raw materials purchasing manager for both Republic Steel and LTV Steel. Most recently, he held the position of manager of de-ox sales at Wabash Alloys.
An OmniSource press release indicates that Mazeika will concentrate on the sale of nonferrous metals to the steel industry. The Superior Aluminum Alloys subsidiary of OmniSource operates a secondary aluminum smelter in New Haven, Ind., that produces de-ox for the steel industry.
