Olympic Wire and Equipment Inc., a Newport Beach, Calif.-based supplier of recycling equipment, has introduced its SP130 EPS (expandable polystyrene) Compactor.
According to the company, the SP130 EPS Compactor provides recyclers the ability to process and densify EPS material, rather than paying landfill tipping fees, thereby also decreasing the costs of stocking and transportation.
Olympic Wire and Equipment says features of the SP130 EPS Compactor include:
• Compaction ratio of up to 30:1 and reaching a density of 15.6 pounds per cubic foot;
• Output of 35 to 50 pounds per hour, depending on the EPS grain size, material density and humidity of the EPS shaped material that is processed;
• Feed-opening that is 15 inches by 24 inches;
• 2-horsepower motor;
• Machine weight of 480 pounds;
• Low power consumption;
• Low noise and dust generation;
• Small size and high efficiency; and
• Safe and easy to operate.
