The state of Ohio’s Department of Natural Resources has established a partnership with the National Soft Drink Association to start a campaign to encourage consumers of soft drinks to recycle their containers.
The program is being called "We Got Plans For Your Bottles And Cans."
The statewide recycling campaign features a variety of radio public service announcements as well as movie and billboard advertisements.
"This campaign serves as a reminder to people that when they are done enjoying their soft drink, they should recycle," said Ron Kolbash, chief of the ODNR Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention. "We want to see more people recycling those plastic, glass and aluminum containers. We are confident this campaign will raise that awareness."
