The Van Wert, Ohio City Council approved a 10-year tax exemption on property and equipment to PR Tech, a company that proposes to recycle scrap plastics into pellets that can be converted into specific manufacturing applications.
According to published reports the company hopes to start operations within the next six months. The company presently operates a facility in Versailles, Ohio. At that plant the company handles about 60 million pounds of scrap plastic a year.
