Oakleaf has announced that its president and CEO, Jim Barnes, has been named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 national winner in the “Services” category.
The award recognizes leaders who demonstrate innovation, financial success and personal commitment as they build world-class businesses.
Barnes was presented with the award on Nov. 15 during the Entrepreneur of the Year gala in
“I am extremely honored to be recognized by Ernst & Young on a national level and to be among so many bright and talented leaders across the country whose business contributions are far reaching,” Barnes says. “This award truly energizes me, and Oakleaf as a whole, as we are committed to revolutionizing the business of waste and recycling in this nation.”
Earlier in the year, Barnes received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 Award in the “Business Services” category in the
Oakleaf was founded in 1995 and provides sustainable waste logistics and recycling solutions for a broad base of multi-location retail, restaurant, hotel, manufacturing, property management and mall clients, among others.
