The Oakland Athletics and Computer Recyclers of America will host a host an E-Waste Collection Day on September 20th at the McAfee Coliseum before the baseball game.
The A's and CRA will have trucks stationed at the stadium to haul away unwanted computer monitors, television sets, plasma screens, laptops, LCDs and other electronic items.
"The Oakland Athletics are always looking for ways to recycle," said David Rinetti, Oakland A's Vice President of Stadium Operations. "We are very happy to partner with the Computer Recyclers of America in order to give our fans the opportunity to recycle items that are hazardous to our environment."
Computer Recyclers of America (CRA) is the largest recycler of electronic waste in the state of California. CRA is licensed to de-manufacture, recycle and crush the cathode ray tubes found in computer monitors, televisions and other types of video equipment.Latest from Recycling Today
