The New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling will be holding its 15th Annual Recycling Conference Oct. 20-21 in Syracuse.
The program will be highlighted by a workshop titled “Before Going Single Stream Take Another Look at Dual Stream.
This workshop is geared toward haulers, municipal recycling officials, private vendors and individuals interested in the future of the recycling industry.
The session will present findings on a recent study on collection and processing methods.
Presenters at the session include Susan Hubbard, Eureka Recycling; Christian La Pointe, Labrie Equipment Ltd.; and Andrew Bell, Sonoco Products.
Other sessions to be held during the two-day program include a legislative leadership update, meeting the challenges of solid waste in tribal communities, deconstruction and reuse, and composting.
Along with the various sessions there are a number of tours scheduled, as well as an exhibition space.
