Rapid Processing, LLC received approval for about $866,000 from the New York City Industrial Development Agency. The IDA is a part of the city’s Economic Development Corp. The goal of the agency is to create and retain jobs in industrial and manufacturing in the city.
For Rapid Processing, the company was looking to relocate from its Brooklyn facility to a location in Queens. While the new facility was smaller than their present location, the design and set up would allow the company to operate more efficiently.
Along with receiving sales and tax benefits from the city agency, Rapid also was able to get a reduced energy rate through the city agency.
