The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA), Washington, is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, March 15 on the topic of how to avoid accidents and injuries caused by distracted driving. The webinar has been scheduled from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Eastern time that day.
“Distracted driving is one of the leading causes of injuries and deaths in collections,” the NWRA says in an e-mail promoting the webinar.

It will be moderated by Jane Dolezal, the safety director of Illinois-based Homewood Disposal Service Inc.
According to NWRA, among the topics covered by the online seminar will be:

• how to train drivers to avoid being distracted while driving.
The webinar will be free to NWRA members and $30 for non-members. More information on registration can be found here.
