Nucor Corp. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Nucor Steel Marion, Inc., has completed the purchase of substantially all of the assets of Marion Steel Co. for about $110 million, subject to post closing adjustments.
The bar products mill, located in Marion, Ohio, has an annual capacity of about 400,000 tons. The mill is near about 60 percent of the steel consumption in the United States. The company's principal products are angles, flats, rebar, rounds and signposts.
