Nucor Corp. has selected Brigham City, Utah as the location for a new facility to produce metal building systems and components.
This past spring Nucor announced plans to construct, in the western United States, its fourth metal building systems plant. Operations are expected to begin by the first quarter of 2008. Annual capacity will be approximately 45,000 tons. Nucor’s other Building Systems facilities are located in Indiana, South Carolina and Texas. With the addition of the Utah plant Nucor Building Systems will have a national reach and combined annual capacity of more than 190,000 tons.
