The keynote speaker at the Annual Recycling Conference will be Chaz Miller of the National Waste & Recycling Association, who will speak on the topic of “Real Challenges—Real Solutions.” Miller has been involved in recycling since 1976, when he joined the Source Separation Program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) Resource Recovery Division. He also has worked for the Glass Packaging Institute.

The awards ceremony has been scheduled to coincide with lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 8.

Other topics covered during the conference include zero waste techniques, curbside organics, paint recycling, composting, battery recycling, mattress recycling and single-stream quality concerns.

The School Recycling Conference on Tuesday, June 9, includes sessions on recycling education, composting and implementing school recycling programs.

Conference organizers say more than 60 vendors will fill the expo area, and more than 500 attendees are anticipated to attend. A brochure offering more details on the event can be viewed at www.nrra.net.
