The National Recycling Coalition is seeking nominations for its Annual Awards. This year, NRC will present awards in 12 categories:
Recycler of the Year - Lifetime Achievement
Outstanding Community or Government Program
Outstanding Recycling Innovation - Product or Process
Outstanding Environmental & Community Leadership (McClure Award)
Outstanding Corporate Leadership (Schmitt Award)
Outstanding School Program (all levels)
Outstanding Market Development
Outstanding Public Education (Boettner Award)
Outstanding Minority Business/Individual Award
BRBA Best Business or Government Buy Recycled Program
BRBA Best State Buy Recycled Campaign
BRBA Award for Innovative New Product or Material
BRBA Awards are presented by the Buy Recycled Business Alliance, a partnership of the National Recycling Coalition.
Nomination packages are available on the NRC website at www.nrc-recycle.org and must be received at NRC's Washington, D.C. office no later than June 28, 2002. NRC's Annual Awards will be presented at the Annual Congress & Exposition in Austin, Texas, September 8-11, 2002.
In addition to NRC's Annual Awards, student scholarships to the Annual Congress & Expo will also be presented in Austin. The National Soft Drink Association (NSDA), in cooperation with NRC's College and University Recycling Council, will present three scholarships to full-time undergraduate students engaged in studies or extracurricular activities related to recycling, solid waste management, or natural resource management.
