As befits its bayside location in Baltimore, the National Recycling Coalition (NRC) has chosen a nautical theme for its 2003 Annual Congress & Exposition.
“Charting a New Course for Recycling” is the theme of the Sept. 14-17 event, taking place at the Baltimore Convention Center.
The show will feature nearly 40 educational sessions for attendees to choose from, divided into categories that include “Weathering the Storm,” “Anchoring in Safe Harbors,” and “Turning the Tide.”
Topics for the sessions cover a variety of industry sectors, including municipal collection programs, electronics recycling, C&D recycling and “buy recycled” programs.
The NRC Congress will draw attendees from several different state recycling associations, with organizations from 20 states plus Puerto Rico comprising the NRC membership.
Exhibitors include some of these same state associations as well as other trade groups such as the National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR) and equipment suppliers such as Toter Inc. and Van Dyk Baler Corp.
In addition to its broad menu of sessions and its exhibit hall hours, the NRC Congress also includes governance meetings for the group and several social opportunities, including a Sunday evening, Sept. 14 welcome reception at downtown Baltimore’s Fish Market building and a chance to see the Baltimore Orioles play the New York Yankees on Monday evening, Sept. 15.
Those interested in learning more about the show or in registering can visit the NRC Web site at www.nrc-recycle.org/congress.Latest from Recycling Today
