Information management industry veteran and Inc. “Street Smarts” columnist Norm Brodsky will tell attendees of Inc.’s GROWCO Conference 10 things he has learned during the course of his entrepreneurial career that he describes as must-haves for business owner.
Brodsky says the current economic climate provides opportunities for business growth and development, as long as executives are willing to change the way they do business.
“You have to think differently now, you can’t go along with the herd,” Brodsky says.
Brodsky is the co-author of The Knack: How Street-Smart Entrepreneurs Learn to Handle Whatever Comes Up. The book, co-authored by Bo Burlingham, teaches business owners how to develop the habits of successful leaders that help rebound from mistakes and learn how not to make them again. He is also founder of CitiStorage, a records storage company, and U.S. Document Security, a secure document destruction company, both based in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Inc.’s GROWCO Conference was first introduced in the 1980s as the Growing the Company Conference. It will be held in Orlando, Fla., March 18-20.
Geared toward entrepreneurs and executives, Inc.’s GROWCO Conference targets two types of businesses: smaller organizations that want to increase their market share and respectability and larger companies that want to establish steady results while distinguishing themselves from their competitors.
