Nick Cerminaro, a scrap trader with more than 15 years of experience, has been added to the staff of Norilsk Nickel USA Inc. at its Pittsburgh office.
Cerminaro formerly worked with Keywell LLC and has been involved with the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) in several volunteer roles.
Norilsk Nickel USA Inc. serves as the American office for Russia’s OJSC (Open Joint Stock Company) MMC (Mining and Metallurgical Company) Norilsk Nickel, more commonly known as simply Norilsk Nickel.
The company bills itself on its Web site as “the world’s largest producer of nickel and palladium and one of the leading producers of platinum and copper.”
Norilsk says it also produces byproducts including cobalt, chromium, rhodium, silver, gold, iridium, ruthenium, selenium, tellurium and sulfur. The company is involved in prospecting, exploration, extraction, refining and metallurgical processing of minerals, as well as in producing, marketing and selling base and precious metals.
