NJ Recycler Changes Name

Company says it is the largest private post-consumer recycling firm in New Jersey.

A long-time paper recycling company, Zozzaro Brothers Inc., has changed its name to Green Sky Industries, Inc. In changing its name, the company noted that the new identity will allow the company to more closely align its business with its current and future initiatives which contribute positively towards global sustainability.

Green Sky Industries, Inc. has two locations in New Jersey: one in Carteret, the other in Clifton.

The Clifton plant handles roughly 25,000 tons per month, while the Carteret plant handles 6,000 tons per month, making the company the largest private recycler of post-consumer recyclables in New Jersey, according to Kevin Tinney, president of the company.

In addition to many of the top paper grades, the company also processes a host of commingled containers; operates a confidential destruction division, both in house and mobile; and has begun to accept some electronic scrap in limited quantities.

While the company is focused on servicing New Jersey, New York and eastern PA, the company does consider expanding its coverage to other regions. However, Tinney notes, any new location for the company would have to be situated within a reasonable distance to the New York piers.
