Marathon Equipment’s most recent Field Service School convened November 7-9 in the newly constructed training facility located in Fayette, Ala. In addition to a new facility, the program has acquired a new identity – Marathon U. The facility enables participants to gain a complete understanding of Marathon products and services in a comfortable classroom-like setting.
Classroom topics include: ANSI Safety Guidelines, the Interpretation and Importance of Electrical and Hydraulic Schematics for Proper Field Installation, Preventative Maintenance Guidelines and Troubleshooting Techniques. Participants are also instructed in the construction and componentry of electrical panel boxes and proper field installation procedures. Hands-on instruction is aided by equipment maintained on-site exclusively for Marathon U participants. Each participant receives a complementary service school manual and course diploma upon completion of the school.
Based on instructor availability and session location, Marathon will organize custom in-house training sessions for organizations with specific training needs. The 2007 Field School schedule is as follows: March 6-8, April 17-19, and May 15-17. For information on Marathon’s training programs, call (800) 269-7237 or check out Marathon U Service School
