Newer Technology has launched a new program geared to reward customers who recycle its batteries.
The program will allow consumers to send in their old Apple or third party PowerBook, or Ibook batteries. In return, the company will receive a $19 rebate for each NewerTech replacement battery they purchase.
The battery type sent in for a rebate must be the same type as the new battery purchased. For customers sending in additional batteries, NewerTech will properly handle them, although they do not qualify for a rebate.
