The Newark Group’s paperboard products mill in Jacksonville, Fla., received a grant of $250,000 grant. The money will go toward the purchase and construction of an 80,000 square-foot manufacturing facility near the Jacksonville airport.
The company also was awarded around $50,000 from the state of Florida and $12,600 in grant money from the city to build the facility.
The money allocated to the Newark Group follows the Jacksonville City Council hearing, held Sept. 9th, where the request was approved unanimously.
The company also said it would add 21 employees at the plant when the construction project is complete.Latest from Recycling Today
