The Newark Group acquired Centracor, a Wisconsin manufacturer of paperboard cores and wooden pallets, effective Feb. 26.
Centracor’s Oshkosh, Wis., tube and core plant and New London, Wis., pallet plant will join the 19 existing plants in Newark’s Paperboard Products Division.
The two Centracor plants will operate as Newark Paperboard Products Oshkosh and Newark Paperboard Products New London. The plants will join the existing NPP Neenah plants to form the Midwestern Region of the division.
Pete Emenecker, former president of Centracor, will assume the title of vice president and general manager Midwestern Region.
Products that will be made under this region include paperboard tubes and cores, roll heads, honeycomb, wooden pallets, dunnage materials, miscellaneous packaging products and recycling of paperboard cores and wooden pallets.Latest from Recycling Today
