The Federation of New York Solid Waste Associations has decided to cancel the rescheduled Oct. 4-7, 2020, conference and trade show at the Sagamore in Bolton Landing, New York.
The event is typically held each year in May, and was at first postponed to October for 2020. “Based upon input from attendees and discussions with The Sagamore, the Federation of New York Solid Waste Associations has made this difficult decision based on COVID-19 uncertainty, logistics and priority for the safety of participants,” the federation announced in mid-June.
The organization says it is in the process of canceling lodging reservations and will send letters to people listed as having registered or as contacts at exhibiting and advertising companies.
“Details about the May 16-19, 2021, event will be posted on our website as they become available,” adds the federation.
The Federation of New York Solid Waste Associations bills itself as the umbrella organization for the New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse & Recycling, the New York State Association for Solid Waste Management, and the Solid Waste Association of North America - New York State Chapter.
