Innovative Recycling Systems, Inc. installed a "No Air-No Water" downstream separation system earlier this month at River Metals Recycling, Newport, Kentucky. The installation is the second downstream system Innovative has sold to a D.J. Joseph facility. The first system was installed at the DJJ’s facility in Louisville, Ky., facility.
The shredder is a 98104 machine with 4,000HP and the system is processing more than 120 tons an hour of ferrous product.
The "No Air-No-Water" separation system uses only magnets and pan feeders to separate the ferrous material from the shredder stream. Because of the design the system eliminates a significant amount of maintenance.
