American Pulverizer Co., St. Louis, has introduced a new series of slow-speed, high-torque shear-type shredders.
The EG (external gearbox) Series of shredders features dual-drive hydraulic or electric systems designed to generate the “highest industry standard torque levels of any machines on the market today,” according to Skip Anthony of American Pulverizer.
The shear-shredders can take on a variety of materials, according to Anthony. Scrap recyclers can process white goods, wire and cable, turnings, 55-gallon drums and light-gauge metals.
Tire recyclers and recyclers of construction and demolition materials can also process material through the machines cost-effectively with high production rates, says Anthony. Mac Tire Recyclers of Saltillo, Miss., has purchased an EG Series machine to process automotive, truck and off-road vehicle tires down into two-inch chips.
The EG Series units are sold with a two-year warranty on the gearbox and main drive and can be configured as either a stationary machine or as a portable unit.Latest from Recycling Today
