New Nortrax Executive Management to Strengthen Sales, Product Support

Nortrax, one of John Deere’s largest North American dealer organizations, has added three people to its executive management team: William A. Horaney, vice president, sales and marketing; Mike Wingard, vice president, product support; and Mark Germain, vice president, product support.

Providing support to customers through all phases of the sales and ownership process has always been a key strength of Nortrax, and the new management team members have the background to further strengthen that focus, according to Jim Earnshaw, president and chief executive officer, Nortrax, Inc.

“These newly created positions will enable us to extend our concentration on customer-focused initiatives,” Earnshaw said. “These individuals possess the skills and experience to build on the base of sales and technical personnel located at our 55 locations throughout the country.”

Horaney joins Nortrax from Deere-Hitachi Construction Machinery Corp, where he served as president since June 2000.  Horaney was president of Hitachi Construction Machinery (America) Corp. from 1998 until 2000. He began his career with John Deere in 1974 as a production supervisor at Dubuque Works, earning additional assignments in manufacturing engineering, service parts management, and project management.  In 1996, Horaney became division sales manager within John Deere Construction Equipment Co.

Horaney, who has corporate responsibility for Nortrax Sales and Marketing, will be based at the Nortrax headquarters in Moline, Ill.

Wingard has been involved in the construction equipment industry since 1978 when he joined a John Deere dealership in Orange County, California. He became parts manager in 1980, and accepted a position as parts and service manager of the newly established San Fernando Valley branch in 1983. Following a series of acquisitions and promotions, Wingard became product support manager in 1996 with Empire Tractor and subsequently Nortrax in June 2001.

Wingard will manage all product support activities in the West, Midwest, Maine, and Northeast regions of Nortrax. He will be based at Nortrax’s Sacramento, Ca. location.

Germain joined Deere as a marketing representative in1988. He has extensive experience in product support and territory management, having served as a territory manager, division manager of product support and a general sales manager of ValueParts, Inc.

Based out of Nortrax’s Moline, Ill. location, Germain will have corporate responsibility for product support in the Great Lakes, Central, South and Southeast regions of Nortrax.
