Caterpillar Logistics Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc., has announced plans to open a new parts distribution center near Moscow, Russia, next year.
The new facility will serve the five Caterpillar dealers within the Russian Federation.
Plans call for the Cat dealers located in Russia to receive parts distributed through the new Moscow-area distribution facility beginning in mid to late 2006. Dealers in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region currently receive parts through Cat Logistics’ Grimbergen, Belgium, distribution center.
