The Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects’ office in Henderson, Nev., has been awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the first building in Nevada to receive the distinction, according to a report in the Las Vegas Business Press.
The building was completed in 1994 and expanded in 1997.
The two story, 11,500-square-foot building was constructed with recycled materials, according to the report. It also incorporates another green building feature: abundant use of natural lighting.
