Networkfleet, San Diego, a provider of wireless fleet management services, has promoted Chris Ransom to director of product management. His responsibilities include current and future development of the company’s fleet management products and services.
Ransom joined Networkfleet in 2007 as strategic alliances manager. In this role he spearheaded Networkfleet’s efforts in the clean technology arena by working with the company’s partners to quantify the clean air benefits of Networkfleet. Through partnerships with national, state and local clean air agencies, Ransom helped Networkfleet gain recognition “as the leading telematics tool used by fleets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” according to a press release from the company.
Before joining Networkfleet, Ransom worked for SAIC, Accenture and Gartner Group as an industry expert, assisting companies of all sizes with various strategic initiatives. He also worked as director of business development for Cygent, a telecom software startup.
Ransom holds a master’s degree in business administration from San Diego State University and Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
