Netherlands-based Baetsen Recycling Purchases Robotic Recycling System

Baetsen Recycling bv, Son, the Netherlands, has purchased what it says is the world's first robotic recycling system, ZenRobotics Recycler (ZRR), in the Netherlands. The equipment is valued at more than €1 million ($1.28 million). The system will be installed starting in February 2013 at Baetsen's recycling plant in Son. The demands of installing the robotic recycling system will be met by the waste management technology experts Busschers Recycling Techniek, Haaksbergen.

 

The ZenRobotics Recycler system reclaims valuable raw materials from construction and demolition (C&D) debris using industrial robots controlled with artificial intelligence. Baetsen Recycling says it aims to be a front-runner in innovative recycling technology.
