The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality has awarded $1.14 million in the form of 56 separate grants to fund littler cleanup, recycling and public education programs, Mike Linder, department director, tells the Southwest Nebraska News.
The grants are from the Little Reduction and Recycling Grant Program, according to the report.
“Local programs and communities are where the work gets done,” Linder tells the Southwest Nebraska News. “Again this year, we are able to get this money out to some tremendous projects across Nebraska.”
