The Northern Ohio Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) is hosting a March scholarship fundraising event at Gund Arena, the home of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Cleveland Cavaliers.
The March 8 event will include not only seats to the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Orlando Magic game, but also the chance to play hoops on the Gund Arena floor.
Prior to the March event, a January 5 auction will offer memorabilia and slots to be a part of the Cavaliers pre-game ceremonies.
For $100 plus a matching $100 donation to the Northern Ohio Chapter Scholarship Fund, participants can play in a game on the Gund Arena court, attend a post-game cocktail party, a pre-game dinner and the game itself. Other donation levels provide access to the pre-game dinner or to the game only.
January auction items include chances to sit on team benches during pre-game warm-ups, court-side children’s seats with picture-taking privileges and even chances for kids to be ball boys or ball girls during pre-game warm-ups.
Those seeking more details on the March event can contact Northern Ohio ISRI Scholarship Committee members Michael Eisner of Lakeside Metals at meisner@lsminc.net or Arnold Fish of Metal Conversions Inc. at afish@metalconversions.com.
