National Bulk Equipment Inc. (NBE), based in Holland, Mich., has completed the acquisition of General Processing Systems Inc. (GPS), a manufacturer of ProductSaver, a packaged material reclamation system.
The acquired company, located near Chicago, gives NBE three new product lines that will serve as complimentary offerings to the full line of NBE bulk material handling systems.
“ProductSaver’s packaged material reclamation system enables processing and packaging operations to recover not only packaging material, but also the dry or wet contents from packages that may be off-spec, mis-labeled, or for other reasons, unsalable,” NBE President Todd Reed says. “The ProductSaver product lines provide two primary advantages for processing and packaging operations. ProductSaver systems reduce process material loss levels, beyond what even inline systems can do. And, ProductSaver systems are recognized for making significant contributions to sustainability scoring initiatives.”
Jeff Swiatlo, former president of GPS, will direct the sales activity for the ProductSaver line, according to NBE.
“We are very pleased with the way the NBE existing customer base has quickly recognized the total process contribution ProductSaver systems can make to their operation,” Dave Denhof, general manager and executive vice president of NBE, says.
