NASCO-OP Declares Dividend

Purchasing cooperative reports a 2 percent patronage dividend for 2011.

The National Association Supply Cooperative (NASCO-OP), New Philadelphia, Ohio, has declared a 2 percent patronage dividend for 2011, according to Manager Bob Bedard. The dividend is calculated on the purchases a member or associate made at the cooperative and further reduces the purchase price of supplies and equipment.

“In today’s increasingly competitive marketplace, the need for NASCO-OP is greater now than ever before,” Bedard says. “Cooperatives give members and users of all sizes the purchasing clout of an entire industry while still maintaining their independence. The success of the organization is power through cooperation.”

NASCO-OP is the recycling industry’s purchasing cooperative and is available at no additional cost to members of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Canadian Association of Recycling Industries, the Automotive Recyclers Association and the National Demolition Association.
