National Association Supply Cooperative (NASCO-OP) has promoted Michael Morrison to president and general manager, replacing Bob Bedard who is retiring after 31 years with the company.
Morrison joined New Philadelphia, Ohio-based NASCO-OP in 2013 and previously oversaw its shear knife and packaging product lines as well as magnets, grapples and radiation detection products. In 2020, Morrison was promoted to assistant manager, replacing another longtime employee in Chuck Kinsey who retired after 40 years.
“NASCO-OP members will be well-served by Mike’s dynamic leadership,” Bedard says. “It makes me proud to see the industry’s next generation capably assume their post. NASCO-OP’s future is in great hands.”
Formed in 1959 as a nonprofit cooperative purchasing organization representing recyclers, NASCO-OP says its philosophy is to provide quality products from industry-leading manufacturers at reasonable prices. According to NASCO-OP, Morrison will focus on continuing to evolve the company alongside the industry and strengthen its ties to vendors and industry member groups.
