The National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR), Sonoma, Calif., has named Resa Dimino to the newly created position of director of public policy.
Dimino previously worked for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. She also has held various private and public sector positions. During her history in the environmental industry, she has developed and implemented numerous recycling, product stewardship and economic development programs in the northeastern U.S.
“Resa will allow NAPCOR to focus on some of the policy issues important to our membership, both at the state and federal levels,” says Dennis Sabourin, NAPCOR executive director. “She will expand the value of what we offer our members; we’re very pleased to have her on board.”
Dimino will focus on policy issues that are in accordance with NAPCOR’s mission, which includes promoting and protecting the PET package, and increasing the collection of post consumer PET packaging as integral to its sustainable attributes.
