NAID Prepares For Annual Conference

Phoenix will host annual gathering of document destruction professionals.

The National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) is preparing to host its Annual Conference in its home city of Phoenix this year. The event will take place from Sunday May 14 through Tuesday May 16 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa.

 

The conference is co-located this year with the Annual Conference of PRISM International, a trade association for the commercial information management and storage industry.

 

The NAID Annual Conference gets started on Sunday, May 14, with a NAID and PRISM golf tournament and awards luncheon sponsored by Vecoplan LLC. Also on Sunday is the “Shredding 101” seminar sponsored by Evergreen Financial and the opening evening reception in the Expo hall sponsored by Iron Mountain.

 

A variety of educational sessions are taking place on Monday, May 15, including sessions addressing media relations, business contracts, capitalizing on information destruction legislation and understanding hard drive destruction services.

 

The NAID Annual Banquet, sponsored by Allegheny Paper Shredders Corp., takes place Monday evening.

 

On Tuesday, session topics employee relations, records center “dos and don’ts,” cost-effective telemarketing, and shredding systems monitoring.
