NAID installs new board members

The National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), Phoenix, a nonprofit trade association serving the secure information destruction industry, installed its newly elected board members during its annual membership meeting April 8, 2016. The meeting was held in conjunction with the organization’s annual conference, which attracted approximately 700 secure destruction professionals to Orlando, Florida, according to the association.

The newly installed NAID board of directors leaders include:

• President Don Adriaansen, CSDS, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania-based Titan Mobile Shredding LLC;  
• President Elect Eric Haas of A.R.M.S. Inc., DePere, Wisconsin;
• Past President R. Stephen Richards, CSDS, of Nashville, Tennessee-based Richards & Richards; and
• Secretary Patrick DeVries, CSDS, of DeVries Information Management, Spokane, Washington.
  
  

Newly installed directors include:

• Gina Lentine, CSDS, of Assure Shred in Ringoes, New Jersey; and
•  Brock Miller, CSDS, of AccuShred NW in Gresham, Oregon.
  
  

Vladimir Vasak of K-2 Partners LLC, Villanova, Pennsylvania, was reinstalled as vendor liaison.

The installation of officers reflects the results of the recent NAID board election, which was held electronically in March.

During a meeting following the official installation, the NAID board of directors approved the appointment of Glenn Laga of Guardian Data Destruction, South Hackensack, New Jersey, to fill the director seat vacated by DeVries.

NAID President Adriaansen says an active board of directors is one of the keys to NAID’s long record of success. “The 15 members of the board clearly represent a healthy cross section of the industry,” he says. “I have learned from experience that these professional take their responsibilities very seriously, which in turn translates to a strong and successful association.”
