The Renaissance Hotel at Skydome, in downtown Toronto, Canada, will soon host an event entitled “Focus Canada: Understanding Current Privacy Policy,” presented by NAID Canada (the National Association for Information Destruction).
The two-day event has been planned for Feb. 17-18 and is expected to draw professionals from secure shredding companies and related fields from throughout Canada.
Speakers on Thurs., Feb. 17 will include: Ontario legislator Jim Watson; Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner Ann Cavoukian; Alberta Information and Privacy Commissioner Frank J. Work; Ontario Provincial Police investigator Charles Cox; attorney Violet French; and document reconstruction pioneer Cody Ford.
NAID executive director Bob Johnson and NAID president John Bauknight IV, who is also co-founder of Shred First LLC, Spartanburg, S.C., will offer presentations on the conference’s second day, Fri., Feb. 18.
