An all-day meeting in New York City is being planned to bring state legislators and business leaders together to discuss electronics recycling.
The Environmental Business Association of New York State Inc. (EBA/NYS) is organizing an event called the NorthEast Regional Electronics Recycling Conference, to be held June 16, 2005 in New York City. The event is being co-hosted by the New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling, Inc. (NYSAR3).
A statement release by the two groups says, “We are bringing together ‘stakeholders’ on the question of electronics recycling to open the dialog in New York State.”
The groups say stakeholders include elected officials (county, city, municipal), recycling companies, companies generating considerable amounts of obsolete electronics, financial houses, security analysts and manufacturers of electronics.
The meeting will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the CUNY Graduate Center Recital Hall on Fifth Avenue.
Those seeking more information on the event can call (518) 432-6400, ext. 225 or e-mail Deirdre@eba-nys.org.
