N.C. Harris Distributors Merge

CB&E and Tri-State Process Equipment merge operations.

Tri-State Process Equipment LLC of  Monroe, N.C., has merged with CB&E of Burlington, N.C., to form a distributor of Harris equipment that will serve North and South Carolina and parts of Virginia and Tennessee.

In an announcement made by Harris Waste Management Group, Peachtree City, Ga., the newly-combined distributorship “will continue in sales and service for all Harris/Selco vertical, horizontal, and two-ram balers, including Centurion/HRB brand balers” for that region.

Tri-State Recycling Equipment LLC was created and is owned by Catawa Baler & Equipment (CB&E), which is owned and operated by Kelly McDonald. The merger will create a service department with eight additional service technicians and service trucks, according to Harris.

The distributorship will operate an additional 20,000-square foot refurbishment facility and shop located in Statesville, N.C.  According to Mark Mc Donald, co-owner and manager, there are two additional sales representatives, and an after-hour emergency services telephone line operating from that location.

“We are thrilled to have the knowledge and expertise of the CB&E team  merge with Tri-State” says Doug Sebastian, a vice president with Harris. “Their commitment and excellent reputation will bring added value to our customers,” he adds.
