Myers Container LLC has announced the acquisition of General Steel Drum (GSD), Charlotte, N.C. Myers and its sister company Container Management Services LLC are headquartered in Portland, Ore. The companies service the new steel drum, reconditioned steel and plastic drum and IBC needs of the western United States.
“We are excited to add the expertise of General Steel Drum to our portfolio of companies.” says Kyle Stavig, CEO of Myers Container. “We are fortunate to retain the professional skills of Terry Lynn and Ed West, who will be in charge as general manager and director of sales respectively for the GSD operation.”
Myers Container LLC and Container Management Services LLC were purchased in October 2007 and have been affiliated with the Stavig/Myers family since 1917.
Myers Container LLC manufactures new 5-85 gallon steel drums. Container Management Services LLC reconditions steel drums and IBCs, and is a recycler of plastic, cardboard and steel. The companies are headquartered in Portland, Ore., with factories in Oregon and California.
