The Northern Ohio Chapter of the Washington-based Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) has started a GoFundMe effort for Steven Mullins, who was killed in an explosion at recycled-content nonferrous metals company I. Schumann & Co.
“Last week many of us heard of the unfortunate and tragic news of a plant explosion and the loss of life of one of our own, Steven Mullins,” the chapter said in a late February email.
“Steven was a second-generation employee who loved his family, friends and was a big kid at heart. He is survived by his wife, Danielle, and their children Jaret and Madelyn.”
The regional scrap recycling chapter says the site was created because it was receiving requests from members asking, “What can I do; is there anything the family needs?”
Those interested in contributing to the Mullins family in the wake of the fatality can find out more here.
