The asset disposition and electronics recycling company MPC has received AAA Certification from the Phoenix-based National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) for computer hard drive sanitization, including physical hard drive destruction, at its headquarters operational facility in Mendota Heights, Minn.
NAID AAA certified companies are subject to scheduled and unannounced audits conducted by independent accredited security professionals. Auditors verify the applicant's policies and procedures against a set of standards concerning operational security, employee hiring and screening, the destruction process, responsible disposal and insurance coverage.
According to MPC, NAID’s AAA Certification provides its clients with a high level of certainty that their retired electronic assets are being handled in accordance with industry best practices.
"It is crucial for our agency to guarantee customer confidentiality," says MPC customer Patty Sullivan of John Traeger Agency Inc."As an MPC client, their NAID Certification gives us peace of mind that our electronics asset disposition program is being held to the highest industry standards and that our data is being securely destroyed."
Todd Schachtman, MPC chief business development officer, says, "We serve our customers by eliminating any fear of risk or potential liability concerns with data or environmental issues. We have been operating under the NAID principles for years as members, and receiving NAID Certification puts a stamp of approval on our processes and facilities that our existing and future customers can be proud of."
