John Tortorella |
Williams started with Wastequip in 1989 and served as the president of Dempster Equipment, Toccoa, Georgia, and the national sales manager for Go To Parts, another Wastequip brand. With 33 years of sales experience in the waste industry and a background in engineering, he will provide product technical expertise and apply it directly to customer needs, the company says.
Tortorella served as the sales vice president for the former BFI Waste Systems, now a subsidiary of Phoenix-based Republic Services, and the area sales manager for Waste Management, Houston, where he led successful sales campaigns to engage and retain customers while sustaining profitable growth, Mountain Tarp says. He has more than 25 years of sales experience in the waste industry.
In their new roles, Tortorella and Williams will focus on expanding Mountain Tarp’s dealer network and on growing parts sales, system installations and mobile services.
“I am excited to welcome John Tortorella and Robert Williams to the Mountain Tarp team,” says John Defenbaugh, Wastequip mobile division president. “Adding John to the Mid-Atlantic region and Robert to the Southeast region is a key part of our strategy to expand our sales in a growing market. Their commitment to our customer satisfaction along with a combined 58 years of extensive sales experience, make them a great addition to the Mountain Tarp team.”
