Monadnock Paper Mills Inc., based in Bennington, New Hampshire, has appointed Andrew Manns as CEO following a planned leadership transition initiated by the company’s previous CEO and chairman, Richard G. Verney, who died Sept. 10.
Manns joined the company in 1995 as its vice president of finance, serving as chief financial officer and treasurer before Verney requested he take over as CEO.
“Richard led with clarity, conviction and an unwavering commitment to doing what was right for our employees, customers and the environment,” Manns says. “It’s an honor and a privilege to step into this role and continue the work he cared so deeply about.”
As CEO, Monadnock says Manns brings continuity to its mission as the paper and packaging industries face increasing complexity, such as sustainability regulations, supply chain disruption and evolving customer expectations.
Monadnock says it will remain committed to delivering high-quality materials that meet market needs while minimizing environmental impact.
“We’re focused on developing the next generation of high-quality, fiber-based solutions with the same care and responsibility that have guided us for two centuries,” Manns says. “I’m excited about what’s ahead for Monadnock.”
