Waste Pro, based in Longwood, Florida, has announced the promotion of Michael McGann to regional vice president of the company's operations in Georgia.
McGann will oversee its divisions in Athens, Atlanta (Doraville), Atlanta West and the newest facility in Jasper. He also will oversee a construction and demolition landfill in Ball Ground and a recycling facility/transfer station in Atlanta.
"I've always been very hands-on and I like to travel to the locations I work with to personally see the operations and the people behind them," McGann says. "They are the people who make this company special by doing the things that make us 'the distinguishable difference.'"
As regional vice president in Georgia, McGann will lead the company's operations in the state, servicing more than 95,000 residential and commercial customers. He previously served as a regional controller for Georgia, the Carolinas and central Alabama after joining Waste Pro in 2013 and has more than 20 years of accounting and financial experience. He served as a regional controller for a recycling company in New York and the Midwest before coming to Waste Pro.
