Midwest Recycling Center has announced that it is joining The Electronics Reuse & Recycling Alliance’s (TERRA’s) Done with IT mail-in program from its Responsible Recycling- (R2-) certified facility in Park Hills, Missouri. Midwest Recycling Center offers electronics recycling services, information technology asset disposition (ITAD), medical and lab asset disposition and data destruction services.
“Most people don’t understand the importance and value of choosing a certified recycler when retiring their used electronics,” says Greg Cooksey, director of business development and compliance officer at Midwest Recycling Center. “We specialize in maximizing the value of retired technology and devices while ensuring both data security and sustainability.”
Nashville, Tennessee-based TERRA says its Done with IT program serves the entire continental U.S. and Canada with recycling options from its network of e-Stewards and certified R2 facilities.
“While the electronics recycling industry has been deemed essential, many retail and government e-waste recycling programs have been suspended,” says Steven Napoli, president and CEO of TERRA. “In addition to general e-waste recycling, Done with IT helps close the digital divide with refurbishment programs sponsored by major league sports teams. TERRA and Done with IT are actively seeking more certified recycling partners like [Midwest Recycling Center].”
